What you need to know about migrating to BW/4HANA

Are you currently using SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) as the universal tool for handling your group activities? Do you record, plan and consolidate with it and would like to continue doing so in the long term? Then you’ve come to the right place!
As the end of the maintenance horizon for SAP BPC 10.x is slowly but surely approaching, SAP has promised scheduled maintenance until 2040 with its successors.

SAP BPC 10.1, FOR MS30.06.2026

The prerequisite for this is that you have a BW/4HANA. This means that the maintenance of your BPC is linked to the maintenance of the corresponding BW/4HANA release.

As a result of our many years of customer experience, a direct recommendation is usually dependent on several factors. These include points such as system status, sector and the associated data sensitivity and historical importance.

For this reason, our BPC experts support you right from the start by carrying out an in-depth analysis of your system landscape and taking the necessary precautions to ensure that your migration runs smoothly. At this point, the knowledge gained from numerous BPC migration projects is particularly helpful, as it speeds up both the migration processes and potential error analyses enormously.

SAP’s basic recommendation for BPC migration is to carry out a remote conversion. However, if you decide on one of the other two options because it is more suitable for your use case, we are always there for you as an experienced SAP Silver Partner and will help you to carry this out as smoothly as possible.
