EC-CS may only be used until <strong>December 31, 2027<\/strong>. (See SAP Note 1223308) <\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>SAP S\/4HANA<\/strong>, EC-CS is only available as part of the compatibility scope up to<strong>  December 31, 2025 can be used. An extension of the deadline until the end of 2027 is possible with the licensing of SAP S\/4HANA for Group Reporting.   <\/strong>(See SAP Notes 2269324 and 2371973)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_row et_pb_row_1  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et_block_row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_1  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et-last-child et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_1  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2>The end of EC-CS is official - what does this mean for your company?<\/h2>\n<p>For decades, <strong>EC-CS<\/strong> (Enterprise Controlling Consolidation System) has been a reliable tool for group consolidation in SAP systems. Now it is clear: SAP is phasing out EC-CS. Such a license or compliance violation can have considerable consequences during an SAP license audit: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"custom-bullets\">\n<li><strong>Re-licensing or contractual penalties:<\/strong> SAP can take legal action retroactively for unlawful use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loss of support and maintenance<\/strong>: Systems with components that are no longer licensed are no longer covered by official SAP support.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audit and reputational risks:<\/strong> Auditors and internal audits can object to breaches of license conditions - with possible effects on certifications or reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A timely switch to SAP S\/4HANA for Group Reporting, BCS\/4HANA or BPC on BW\/4HANA ensures that your company remains license-compliant, audit-proof and audit-capable*.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">*Alternatively, SAP allows further use of EC-CS until the end of 2030 under the condition of an S\/4HANA Private Cloud Subscription running until December 31, 2027.
