When we talk about speed and quality in the consolidation process, the data procurement process plays a special role.<\/p>\n

This process is crucial in determining when you can start the actual consolidation work. Depending on the SAP consolidation solution used, you have various options for data provision here. <\/p>\n

The type of data source can also be decisive for the procedure - is it S\/4HANA or still an SAP ECC. Are non-SAP systems being used? What about the harmonization of master data? Are the management reporting requirements covered? <\/p>\n

This is NOT about the provision of flat files. This is a matter of course that every consolidation system offers. It is about the smoothest possible process without media disruptions - i.e. actually at the \"push of a button\". <\/p>\n

Automatic data retrieval for BCS\/4HANA or SEM-BCS<\/h2>\n

In SEM-BCS<\/a> or BCS\/4HANA<\/a>, the method of automatic data loading via BW has become established. For this purpose, a data source (aDSO) is set up in BW for both systems, which acts as the source database for BCS. This data source can fill the BCS directly or via the option of further selection steps. This is known to the specialist area as \"Load from Datastream\". <\/p>\n

In both cases, however, it is crucial that the above-mentioned data source is enriched in advance by further loading processes in BW - so-called mapping.<\/p>\n

This involves mapping the accounts of the various source systems to the standardized group chart of accounts or adequately providing consolidation transaction types. In any case, this process should be supported by meaningful reporting and monitoring in order to be able to react to errors before the data is transferred to the consolidation solution. <\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>

As for the BSC, the automatic procurement of data for the BPC<\/a> is also a BW-supported process and is basically identical to the process described above.<\/p>\n
